HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hi all! Finally back on The Phillipines! S/Y Naomi is in good shape thanks to our friend down here, Eddy. For 25 us dollars a month he has been watching over her. We started off by sailing from the city Manilla (11 million citizens) to the island Mindoro. Since May 15 typhoons have swept over The Phillipines. They come in from Micronesia in the east and start moving up north. But luckily we are localised at the west coast in a town called Puerto Galera. So luckily no typhoons for us or Naomi. We started off celebrating christmas by changing some filters and oil on Naomi's engine. Later on we signed up on a boatrace arranged by Puerto Galera Yacht Club. But the mainsail decided to split up in two. Not our lucky day. We sailed the 90 NM back to the capital. Naomi is now onshore were she will be given some repairs. The costs is low down here, and i hired Eddy to help us out. He is doing a great job, and I give him twice of regular pay . Mid January Kenneth will go back home to Norway and Mikee from Wales will join me. 20th of January Helene Pettersen from Tromsoe Norway will jump onboard. Mikee will be sailing with us to the end of March. Helene stays around for 5 weeks. Our futured plans are as follows: The islands of Paliwan - End of January. (Supposed to have the whitest beaches on The Phillipines). Borneo, Malasya. - Feb or March. End of march i will travel back to Norway for a short while.
